4.1. Methodological overview

See "Learning tasks " and "Syllabus".

More information will be provided on the first day of class.

4.2. Learning tasks

This is a 6 ECTS course organized as follows:

  • Lectures.
  • Practice sessions.
  • Autonomous work and study.
  • Assessment tasks.

4.3. Syllabus

The course will address the following topics:

  • Topic 1. Personal Information simple: greetings and presentations. The combination of this. affirmative and interrogative sentences: W-Fragen, ja / nein-Fragen.
  • Topic 2. Information concerning the city: signs in the city. The article (nominative) and the noun. Negative sentences. Conjugation of this.
  • Topic 3. Relevant information from a written text simple. Definite and indefinite article (function and plural.)
  • Topic 4. Daily activities: leisure, work. separable verbs. The negation. Syntax of simple sentence.
  • Topic 5. Activities of daily living: eating, drinking, buying. Modal verbs (müssen, können, wollen); its meaning and syntax.
